Old AdGuard DNS IP addresses will be disabled by the end of April. Who is affected
We’re disabling old AdGuard DNS addresses. All addresses used before 2020 will be unavailable after April 28th. If you haven’t done this yet, it’s high time to switch to our new addresses.
If you’ve set up AdGuard DNS using AdGuard or AdGuard VPN apps, you don’t have to do anything — you’re using the up-to-date addresses.
New addresses and instructions
Background
Almost 4 years ago, in September 2020, we moved to new addresses. We wanted to make the transition smooth, and we did: the old addresses didn’t disappear, and you could still use them without fear that a router or other device configured to use AdGuard DNS would be cut off from the Internet. All the while, we monitored the activity of the old addresses and planned to disable them within a year or two.
“The future is almost there”, we wrote two years ago. Well, “almost there” has been delayed a bit, but we can’t put it off any longer. The old addresses will be unavailable by the end of the week, so if you set up AdGuard DNS before 2020, the first thing you need to do is switch to the new ones.
